Equipment

  • Small sauce pan with lid
  • Stariner
  • Jar

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Forsythia blossoms
  • 3/4 cup Sugar I used coconut sugar
  • 2 inches Ginger Minced
  • 2 tbsp Lemon zest
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  • Put the forsythia flowers, lemon zest and minced ginger in a small sauce pot.
    Poor hot water over and cover with a lid. Let the flower tea steep for several overnight, until it has completely cooled to room temperature.
    Strain the flower syrup
    Poor the syrup in a jar or a glass botle.
    Store in the refrigerator for 3-4 weeks.
