Prepare the Berries: If using fresh berries, rinse them thoroughly. If using frozen, let them thaw slightly.Blend: Juice the berries. I used masticating juice because it turns at a much slower speed and keeps heat and oxidation to a minimum. But you could also use a blender with a small amount of water (about 1 cup per 2 cups of berries). Blend until smooth.Strain: Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the seeds and pulp if you are using the blender. With a Juicer, you do not have to do that.Sweeten (Optional): Stir in honey or maple syrup to taste. Some prefer the juice unsweetened for its bold, tangy flavor.Dilute (Optional): If the juice is too strong, dilute with water or mix with other fruit juices like apple or orange for a balanced taste.Serve & Store: Enjoy immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days.Serve in shot glasses.
