Apple filling
- 5 Apples
- 2 tbsp Allulosse or coconut sugar
- 2 tbsp Lemon juice
- 2 tbsp Cinammon
- 1/2 cup Apple butter
- 3 tbsp Butter unsalted, in chunks
Almon Crust
Soak dates for 2 hours.2. Add blanched almonds to the food processor and pulse to crumble.(You could also use almond flour, but I like the crust to be more crunchy, so I used almonds in the food processor.)3. Add coconut flakes and pulse it again.4. Add soaked dates and pulse it again.5. Add coconut oil, ghee, or butter and pulse it again to paste. If it is not holding together, add some water from the soaked dates.6. Transfer it and press it into the pan to the removable bottom tart form. Bake it at 350°F for 20 minutes until golden brown. 7. Cool before filling: Allow the crust to cool completely before adding your filling, especially for unbaked fillings.
Apple Filling
Slice your apples thinly and toss them with lemon juice, allulose, cinnamon, cardamom, and a pinch of salt.2. Layer the apples in the crust, overlapping them in a pretty pattern.3. Put some butter or vegan butter pieces on top of the apples.4. Bake it at 375°F for 30 minutes or until the apples are fork-tender, and the crust is golden.
