Ingredients

  • 1 cup Brewed coffee or 2 espresso shots
  • 1/2 cup Almond milk unsweetened or any milk of your choice
  • 1-2 tbsp Cinnamon syrup
  • 1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon more for garnish
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla
  • Whipped cream
  • Ice

Cinnamon Syrup

Instructions

Cinnamon Syrup

  • Heat the mixture over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves completely.
Once the mixture starts to simmer, reduce the heat to medium heat and let it cook gently for 8-10 minutes.
Remove the pan from heat and let the syrup cool.
Strain out the cinnamon sticks and pour your syrup into a mason jar. Store in the fridge for up to two weeks!

Coffee

  • Espresso Machine: For the richest flavor, pull 2 shots of espresso. You can also buy espresso shots at the coffee shop.
French Press: Use 2 tablespoons of ground coffee for every 6 ounces of water. Let it steep for 4 minutes for a bold brew.
instant Espresso: Perfect if you're short on time. Dissolve 1 scoop in hot water.
    Assemble
In your coffee mug or tall glass, combine:1-2 tablespoons of your homemade cinnamon syrup and freshly brewed coffee.
Heat your milk of choice until it's warm but not boiling. For a creamy texture, use a milk frother (seriously, I can not live without it!) or a steam wand.
Pour the frothed milk over your coffee mixture, stirring gently to combine.
    Top with optional goodies:
A dollop of unsweetened whipped cream or coconut whipped cream.A sprinkle of ground cinnamon or even some cinnamon sugar for extra sparkle.
